Fluoride effects

Research has provided estimates of fluoride exposure, proportion of fluoride intake which accumulates in bone, and fluoride concentrations in bone which are associated with each of the 3 stages of skeletal fluorosis. My calculation of bone fluoride concentrations resulting from long-term exposure, at levels to which people who are force-fluoridated are often subject, strongly suggests that skeletal fluorosis is largely responsible for the high rates of joint problems in the countries which have had the highest rates of forced-fluoridation for the longest.

This page has quotes from the 2006 US National Research Council report Fluoride in Drinking Water: A Scientific Review of EPA’s Standards. Although out of date in some respects, most notably the developmental neurotoxicity of fluoride, the report remains by far the most comprehensive review of fluoride toxicity worldwide.

Fluorine Intoxication by Kaj Roholm is significant for 2 main reasons. Firstly, Roholm was the world’s leading fluoride expert in 1937, when the book was first published. Secondly, the author was Danish and was removed from Alcoa’s push for forced-fluoridation in the US, which began in the late 1930s. I have selected quotes from the book.

This section of an article on former Australian Medical Association president Dr Michael Gannon dissects some of the most commonly used “scientific” fluoridationist non-arguments.

Nothing is quite the same as reading a good book. This page has a long list of books on fluoride and forced-fluoridation. Some reports and websites are also listed. A vast amount of important information, including journal articles and historical knowledge, can be found via these sources.
